This course is for grade 4 to grade 10 learners, who wish to get preparation through online training classes during February and March 2024.
This course has a focus on theoretical concepts helpful towards problem solving. There are separate lectures for primary school and high school. The primary school lectures take place on Mondays from 18:00 to 20:00, while the high school lectures take place on Thursdays from 19:00 to 21:00.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and have those questions answered. All lectures will be recorded so that participants are able to watch recordings of missed lectures afterwards. However, participants are encouraged to join the live sessions in order to be able to have their questions answered or be able to ask the presenter to go slower, repeat an explanation or add more details to the explanation.
We encourage participants to make full use of this course in order to improve their performance on the Selection Tests and hence also their chances to be selected for the teams to represent South Africa at the International Mathematics Competition (IMC). The IMC is taking place in India (Lucknow) towards the end of July 2024.
This course is not publicly accessible and requires enrolment and payment. Enrolment and payment for this course must be done on the Admin Portal. The fee for this course of online classes running in February and March 2024 is R800.
