This "course" is mainly for teachers who enter learners from grade 4 to grade 10 (2025) to write the 2025 IMAS (International Mathematics Assessments for Schools) contest and/or enrol learners into the 2025 IMC Team Selection for Learners "course" through which South African teams are selected to partcipate at the International Mathematics Competition (IMC) in July 2025.

It is especially important for teachers where learners will be writing under supervision at school, since all the participation and invigilation instructions for teachers will be posted here. Furthermore, this "course" also serves as the mirror "course" for teachers to the 2025 IMC Team Selection for Learners "course" in order for teachers to also have a sense how the "course" looks for the learners.

All teachers with a registered JIMCOBSA account will have free access to this "course". However, only teachers who enrol learners to write the 2025 IMC Team Selection for Learners will fully utilize this "course". However, other teachers are more than welcome to use this "course" to keep updated with the state of the 2025 IMC Team Selection for Learners "course" as well as the results of the contests and team selection progress.

Information on the 2025 IMC taking place in July, the SA Team Selection Criteria and full results of the selection tests will be posted here. Although teachers will have access to the full results through this "course", learners and parents will only have access to the top half of the results as we will only publish the top half of the results for each selection test for the learners and parents in their "courses" and only the Top 10 publicly.

Selection will take place among three age groups: Middle Primary (2025 grade 4 and 5), Upper Primary (2025 grade 6 and 7), and Junior Secondary (2025 grade 8 to 10). The hosting country will only be announced at the start of 2025.

However, learners who are not available for the 2025 IMC are still welcome to participate in that "course" even if it is just to participate in the team selection and measure their performance against other learners.

This "course" is only for parents. Parents and teachers are given access to their own "course", which is a mirror of the 2025 IMC Team Selection for Learners "course", in order to keep up with the relevant information. Parents and teachers are not given access to the "course" itself as they should not be able to complete the quizzes on that "course".

Only learners who are enrolled for those "courses" will be eligible for the Primary School and High School teams that will represent South Africa from 26 July to 31 July in Lucknow India at the 2024 IMC. However, learners who are not available for the 2024 IMC in India are still welcome to participate in those "courses" even if it is just to participate in the IMAS contest and measure their performance against other learners during team selection.

This "course" is open for enrolment by any registered parent. Our hope is that enrolled parents from schools who do not yet have participants would be able to see the benefits and encourage their schools/learners to also join.
