This "course" is mainly for parents of grade 4 to grade 10 learners, since it serves as the parent mirror to the 2024 IMAS for Primary School Team Selection and 2024 IMAS for High School Team Selection "courses". Those "courses" are for learners who wish to write the 2024 IMAS (International Mathematics Assessments for Schools) contest. Furthermore, it is for learners who wish to try out for places in the South African teams that will participate in July 2024 at the International Mathematics Competition (IMC) in India.
Only learners who are enrolled for those "courses" will be eligible for the Primary School and High School teams that will represent South Africa from 26 July to 31 July in Lucknow India at the 2024 IMC. However, learners who are not available for the 2024 IMC in India are still welcome to participate in those "courses" even if it is just to participate in the IMAS contest and measure their performance against other learners during team selection.
This "course" is open for enrolment by any registered parent. Our hope is that enrolled parents from schools who do not yet have participants would be able to see the benefits and encourage their schools/learners to also join.
Information of results will be posted here as well as information on the selection criteria for the South African primary school teams and junior secondary school teams that we will be selecting to participate at the 2024 International Mathematics Competition in India.
This "course" is not publicly accessible and requires enrolment, but is free of charge to parents (the payment is only made to enrol the learners into either the 2024 IMAS for High School Team Selection or 2024 IMAS for Primary School Team Selection "courses"). Parents of enrolled learners automatically get access to this "course". However, if any other registered parents wish to access this "course", please just request access from us and we will do a manual enrolment.
